Settlement for nerve injury from a negligent blood draw

On August 25, 2023 we resolved a lawsuit for another client who suffered a nerve injury from a negligently placed needle during what should have been a routine blood draw. It may be surprising just how much damage can be caused to a person’s nerves running close to the most common draw sites. In this case, our client required surgery, and missed a substantial amount of time from work, resulting in significant medical expenses and lost wages. Fortunately, we were able to obtain a substantial recovery.
